This is a school dictionary, compiled and edited by the Rev Patrick Dinneen, D.Litt, and published by the Irish Text Society.The contrast has been adjusted for best readability, and the pages deskewed to 0.1˚ or better, and the pages scaled to A4.   The text has been cleaned up where a letter has been omitted, or mis-struck, or where the typeface has been insulted by impact damage.  Likewise, stains and smudges have been remove, especially where they impede legibilty.
